Helen Russo (Ledoux) was born in 1935 in New York City to Marcel and Josephine Ledoux. She had three brothers that she loved dearly Robert, Marcel and Walter. Helen passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday May 20th 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony Russo and beloved sons Anthony and Robert. She leaves behind her greatest treasure, her loving family. Daughters Carol (Jay) Donna (Dino) and Janet (Michele). Her grandchildren Alan (Trisha), Jonathan, Jessica (Cris), Christina (Alejandro) and Dylan. Her great grandchildren Gavin, Marilynn, Cristopher, Owen, and Jonah. She lived a full and beautiful life surrounded by what she loved most, her family. She was known for her delicious Italian American meals, especially her meatballs from her food truck in SoHo. Nana was everyone’s Nana. She always had an open door policy, an empty seat on her couch and a kitchen full of food for everyone. Helen will be remembered for her comedic expressions and her famous one liners. She was a mother figure to many people and will be deeply missed.
