Esterlina Supapo Agas, 85, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020. She was the eldest of ten siblings and
known for her love and support. She was salutatorian of Cabugao Institute in Ilocos Sur in 1953, an
honor graduate of the Philippine College of Commerce in 1955, and received her Bachelor of Commerce
Major in Accounting at Far Eastern University in 1957. In 1962, she became a Certified Public
Accountant. She retired as Chief of the Foreign Exchange department at the Central Bank of the
Philippines in 1992.

After retirement, Esterlina “Lucring”, “Ester”, etc. migrated to the US and lovingly took care of her
grandchildren. Yet she was able to continue her love for traveling, and together with her husband
Constantino, she went on numerous trips around the world, touring Europe, North America, the
Hawaiian islands, and Australia. She also ventured out on various cruises with her husband, relatives,
and friends to the Caribbeans, the Holy Land, and Eastern Europe. Of course, she travelled back to the
Philippines often and took the opportunity to travel in various provinces throughout the country such as
Palawan, Davao, Bicol, new tourist spots in the Ilocos region, and many more.
Ester very much enjoyed dancing. In October 2004, she and three friends founded The Terpsichorean of
Queens NY, where she and dozens of Filipino senior citizens came together every week to practice,
rehearse, and perform various Filipino folk dances. The group has been an inspiration to many, young
and old, in promoting dancing and movement as means to keep physically active and maintain great
social relationships while teaching the community the beautiful folk dances of the Philippines. Ester was
the Treasurer and Coordinator for the group. She kept many index cards and sheets of dozens of steps
to dances.

Ester is preceded in death by her parents Delfin Supapo and Lorenza Racelis, her loving husband of over
50 years Constantino Agas, her daughter Grace Agas-Torres, and brothers Romeo Supapo and Eligio
Supapo. She is survived by her four children, Arnold and his wife Revelyn Baylon, Arlene and her
husband Chris Settipani, Silver and his wife Petruska Paz, and Ester Roza and her husband Derek
Mansfield. Her eight grandchildren include Audrey and her husband Ryan Killian, Arvin, Andrea, Ester,
Andrew, Danny, Natasha and Lucas, a great granddaughter Ava; sisters Nelly Lizaso, Bella Mata, and
brothers Constancio Supapo, Diosdado Supapo, Atty. Delfin Supapo Jr, Florante Supapo and Dr. Alex

If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or Catholic
Charities of the Archdiocese of New York.
