Helen B. Leahy nee Mytyk, 89, passed away on Thursday, February 28th with her family by her side.

She was born on March 22, 1929, the daughter of the late Giuseppe Chiesa and Mary Mytyk.
She was a lifelong resident of Queens. Known to many as Mrs. OLPH, she lovingly served the parish at the OLPH rectory and school for fifty years. She considered the wonderful people of the parish her second family.
Helen was married to the love of her life the late Edward E. Leahy for fifty-six years. She was devoted to her kindred spirit, her twin brother, the late John Mytyk. She was the unconditionally loving mother of the late Robert Leahy and is survived by three children, Kathleen Mason and her husband, Greg, of Marietta, Georgia, John Leahy of Queens, New York and Mary Doherty, and her husband, Robert, of Chantilly, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Amanda Mason Melear, Ryan Mason, Patrick Leahy and, Katie, Olivia, Bobby and Aidan Doherty; and, two great-grandchildren, Owen and Miles Mason.
